Dawt Mill - 2 Miles NE of Tecumseh, MO

This mill is only one of a few that are still grinding flour or grains. Fresh baked goods using the fresh ground grains are sold at the mill's bakery. Yum!

Rockbridge is nestled in the Ozarks!

Rockbridge is a beautiful little village that houses a post office, restaurant, bank and the Rockbridge Mill. A wonderful little stream called Spring Creek runs by the mill and is stocked with Rainbow trout that are swimming on the rocky bottom and are visible to the naked eye.

The Grist Mill serves drinks and appetizers and is located in the refurbished original mill. The mill has a pub where customers can enjoy refreshments with family and friends while overlooking the creeks' waterfall. The resort sits on 1,500 acres in the Ozarks and has nature trails for hiking and horseback riding and a sparkling, spring-fed creek that is stocked with rainbow trout.

A great little get-away to check out the Fall leaves or anytime for that matter.

Finding Your Inner Biker Chick After 40 By Deborah Boland and JoJami Tyler

Are you over 40, weary and feel you've lost your sense of style? Before you give up on fashion forever, think about this: Is there still something deep inside of YOU that is just burning to come out? Is there a part of you that you have always wanted to express to the world, but just never have? Do you have an inner biker chick or something else just waiting to emerge?

Then it's time to get in touch with your wild side and bring some fun back into the way you dress, so you don't end up looking and feeling like a dowdy little old lady. Why not get noticed for the delicious dynamite that you are - and use clothes to do it! Here are 6 Do's and Don'ts to help you find your true style after 40!

1) DO Search for Inspiration

Do you know a woman who is fabulous over 40 because she always seems pulled together and has a style that you love? Take note of what she has on and shop for something similar. For example, if she is wearing leather, and you don't normally wear leather, give it a go. Experiment with different pieces. Try adding a leather jacket, skirt or pants. If you find that leather is just too way out for you, try suede. It is similar but has a softer look and feel.

2) DO Shop somewhere New

If you're still shopping at the same stores, in the same departments, why not shake things up a bit? Step out of your comfort zone and try shopping somewhere new. Small boutique stores tend to carry the most current styles and updated merchandise. They also carry small designer brands, so when you buy something, you are sure to look unique in your new outfit.

3) DON'T Allow yourself to Blend in

After 40, it's time to sizzle, not fade away. One way to express your true personality is with color. Even if you live in black, just a dash of color from your purse, shoes or scarf, can take you from can go from dull to dashing in an instant. If in doubt about the right color for you, drape the item near your face and analyze how it complements your hair, eyes and complexion. The color should not wash you out, or be so loud that you see it before you see you.

4) DON'T Be afraid to Let Go

One of the biggest hurdles to overcome can be all those clothes stuffed in your closet. Pull up your bootstraps, roll up your sleeves and start throwing things out. Get rid of everything that is no longer who you are today-at this present moment. Let go of the past and leave a great big hole in your closet to welcome the new you so you can look fabulous after 40.

5) DO Spend a Little More if Necessary

If you seen something that's really you, but are holding back because of price, then it's o.k. sometimes to just buy it! You will wear it many more times than just another cheap, boring item from a sale rack.We like to call this price per wear. If you average the amount you spend on an item by the number of times that you wear it, it can justify the original expense. Don't let price hold you back from looking Fabulous over 40!

6) DON'T get stuck in Hair Rut

If you are still sporting a style that you've had for the last 15 years, you look old! Even if you wear the latest clothes and accessories, if your hairstyle is dated, you look dated. How do you know when you need a new do? Make an appointment with a reputable hair salon. Ask for one of the top stylists. Discuss your personality and over 40 lifestyle, not the haircut you want. Let them suggest what the look they think will reveal the real you. Listen to what they say and believe them. Add color, a new cut or style. Make the change and don't look back.

Discovering the real you is a process but it's well worth it to rev up your wardrobe and start dressing with more flair and pizzazz. You'll be force to be reckoned with and see if you're not feeling stronger and more ambitious each day~ Embrace all your style...It's not about just one look. It's about finding a style that reflects the inner you.
Have fun and be Fabulous after 40!

How to Pick up a Dropped Motorcycle? By Rebecca Blume

I have to say I never expected that I would drop my bike, but I did. I just arrived back at work from getting new saddle bags put on my bike. As I was getting off of my bike my boot got stuck on the new saddle bag and of course I ended up dropping my bike. I was completely embarrassed considering I work with a bunch of men who happened to be outside at the time. I even had to ask them to help me pick up my 650lb motorcycle. After they gave me my new nick-name, crash, I spent the rest of that afternoon looking for ways to redeem myself. Now I can truly say I know how to pick up my bike without help from anyone.

I spent over an hour looking for ways to pick up a dropped motorcycle and finally came across an amazing website. The lady who created the website, Skert, is an amazing individual. She has dedicated her website to the fight against breast cancer and helping individuals learn how to pick up their dropped motorcycle. She posted on her website a step by step guide on how to pick up your motorcycle and even has a short video of her in action. After all if a 5'3" 118lb woman can pick up a 600lb motorcycle, a 5'6" bigger gal like myself could pick one up as well.

I immediately went outside, slowly laid my bike down and practiced her steps. I was amazed. Within 30 seconds I had my motorcycle back on two wheels.

How Women Are Getting Better Deals on Harley Davidson and BMW Motorcycles By Jerry Minchey

Women are getting better deals on motorcycles and not the way you may be thinking.

Contrary to the popular stereo type of women being emotional and not being logical, when women are deciding to buy a motorcycle, they go about it in a totally different way from what men do and their technique results in them getting a much better price. Here's how they do it.

Men are the ones who get emotional about both Harley Davidson and BMW motorcycles. Men see their motorcycles as a status symbol. They don't stick to their budget.

When it comes to negotiating, women use techniques that catch salesmen off guard and get them to give in to their price.

For example, in the late stages of the negotiating women will say something like, "I'm getting nervous." They didn't say they were not going through with the deal, but salesmen start thinking about the stereo type of women not being logical and changing their minds for no reason at all.

When women use this phrase, salesmen drop the price or find some way to sweeten the pot immediately because they think they are about to lose the sale. The salesman had already started thinking about what he was going to do with his commission and now he sees the deal about to go down the drain.

Another technique women use in negotiating is to walk away (or at least, make it look like they are walking away). Because salesmen think of women as not being as committed to buying a motorcycle as men are. Salesmen think of women as not likely to buy a motorcycle anyway, and they really have to make them a great price to get the deal to go down immediately.

Women also do a lot better job of doing their homework. They use the Internet to know what the going price is for the model of motorcycle they are interested in. They know what the motorcycle has been selling for on eBay, and they know what price other dealers are wiling to sell the particular model of motorcycle they're interested in.

Women know that the more they investigate the less they have to invest. And by the time women are ready to actually make a buying decision, they have done a lot of homework and investigation.

As a result of the above points, women end up getting super deals on both Harley Davidson and BMW motorcycles -- deals that men can't touch.

So when you see a lady on a motorcycle, you guys can bet she got a much better price than you did on your motorcycle.

As a final point, the next time you are ready to buy another motorcycle, consider turning the job over to your wife or girlfriend and let them do the homework, researching and by all means let them do the negotiating.

Planning a Motorcycle Road Trip By Jesse T.

As summer draws near, the call of the open road beckons you to seek out new adventures. Here are a few tips to help you plan for your next motorcycle road trip.

Packing for a motorcycle trip takes a little more thought than packing for a trip in the car. You have limited storage space and plenty of items that you might need along the way. The key is to pack as compact and lightweight as possible. If you're not sure you'll need an item, remember that you can always pick up an extra sweatshirt or other item along the way.

Instead of packing bulky clothing for cold weather, pack layers. The warmer it gets, the more layers you can shed, and if the weather turns colder, you can always pile on more layers. Remember to pack your rain gear and a safety and repair kit for emergencies on the road. If you plan to pick up a few souvenirs along the way, leave enough extra storage room for those as well. Don't forget to pack a travel motorcycle cover to protect your bike on the road. A cover not only shields your bike from the elements but it also keeps it out of sight from vandals and thieves. Secure a lock through the grommets for extra protection.

When you fill your saddlebags, try to balance out the weight on each side as much as possible. Pack heavier items in the bottom for a stable base, and leave the lighter items for on top. Engine guard chaps serve a double purpose by keeping your feet warm and dry and providing extra storage space for maps, sunglasses, a water bottle, cell phone, flashlight, or other small items. Engine guard chaps, or soft lower covers, keep your feet from getting soaked in the rain or chilled in cold weather.

Perform a thorough maintenance check on your bike to make sure your trip goes as smoothly as possible. Follow the T-CLOCS method compiled by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation:

  • Tires and Wheels: Check for proper inflation and make sure you have enough tread left for the miles you plan to cover.
  • Controls: Inspect the throttle, cables, hoses, and levers.
  • Lights: Check the headlights, tail lights, turn signals, and brake lights.
  • Oil: Check fluid levels and top off or change as needed.
  • Chassis: Make sure your frame, suspension, belts, and fasteners are working properly.
  • Stands: Make sure your center and side stands are able to support the weight of your motorcycle.

As a safety measure, let someone know your travel plans and when you plan to come home from your motorcycle trip. You can still be flexible along the way. Just let that someone know if your plans change. Leave room to be spontaneous. That's where you make the best memories.

Prince Harry swapped his polo ponies for motorcycle horse power yesterday.

Dressed in red leathers and biker boots, he was a surprise guest at the MotoGP British Grand Prix.

Onlookers at Donnington in Nottinghamshire couldn’t believe their eyes as the prince walked around the track.

These shapes to me resemble a nativity scene. The formations growing upwards are called stalamites and the formations growing downward are stalagtites.

These are shapes which resemble "ghosts" on you left and the shape of a "skeleton" on your right. These are called stalactites and a mixture of stone and water over time creates these wonderful limestone creations.

This is called "The Brain". The black color is from people touching the rock.
