I wish to Welcome everyone to my new blog site . . . and I really want to thank Linda Peterson of Linda Peterson Designs who helped me get this up and running. We had a great time putting this together and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I love working with Linda and I'll have to keep thinking of new things so we can do it again in the near future. Two heads are better than one.
Ever since I was a little girl I have created - whether it was a puppet show, lemonade stand, fun house in my basement or knitting sweaters for my classmates at school. I have always dreamed about creating things that others can enjoy. I had a very special group of friends that I grew up with and when we would hang out together we were always thinking up something fun to do to keep ourselves entertained and out of trouble. I would take the Sears and Montgomery Ward catalogs and snip out pieces of furniture and formulate floor plans of a house before I even started grade school. I started out with paper dolls (dressing those Barbies) and graduated up to sewing spaghetti strap dresses for the dances. We would walk (yes I said walk) to the department store in the morning and buy 2 1/2 yards of fabric, thread and a zipper and before the day was over I would have a new dress to wear to the dance. Party!
My other favorite game with my girlfriends was playing Monopoly. We popped a lot of pop corn in those days and played our music while sprawling out on the bed. We would play that game for hours on end. Who would know what this was all leading up to.
I married my husband and we decided to go into business together. We started on a shoestring and to our utter amazement the business flourished.
Years later I started a new life as a single mother. I studied interior design. I started a retail store that designed pillows as well as window treatments, tablecloths, etc. I have always loved fabric and surface materials and haunted the fabric outlets for those special finds.
I love the wide open spaces and the outdoors. When my children were growing up we had horses and later the passion turned to motorcycles. I was always on the search for ladies biker wear. I found that finding biker clothing for ladies was not as easy as one might think. I was always on the search for something unique. I found clothing for men, but not so much for ladies, thus formulating the idea of www.bikerbabesrule.com.
The mind is a very powerful thing and whenever I want something, I can't seem to get it out of my head and so here I am. Ahead of schedule. Doing exactly what I have been dreaming of. I carry unique Ladies Leather Apparel as well as a variety of halters, bustiers and tees and accessories. Remember "Leather on the Outside . . . ALL Woman Within". Looking good and feeling good breeds confidence. Pretty leather lingerie on the inside helps preserve that confidence without anyone being the wiser. No need to kiss and tell unless you want to. LOL
